The Fraternal Order of Police has filed a second grievance against the Oklahoma City Police Department over manpower concerns.
FOP president John George sent the first grievance to OCPD Chief Bill Citty in April after George said the department fell below minimum staffing 30 times in March.
George announced on KOCO 5 this morning that they are filing a second grievance.
“I’m forced to file second grievance because after we filed the first grievance, they changed the minimums. They changed the numbers, actually lowered it on a few, and decided not to pay overtime when they knew in advance. So we believe those numbers have been set, and that’s part of the contractual obligations they have to fulfill those numbers. And for them to arbitrarily change those numbers and lower them, that’s forced us to file a second grievance,” George said.
